1954-1957: The 10 boxcars Lionel released in the middle 1950s for its no. 6464 series of O gauge models stand out, thanks to their multi-colored paint schemes and bold lettering. Advances in toy train decoration made at the company factory made possible these eye-catching classics.

1957-1969: The final 10 members of the exclusive group of near-scale boxcars saw Lionel at the height of its postwar production and decoration. These no. 6464-series models have risen to become standards of toy train elegance and beauty for a new generation of hobbyists.
